Privacy Notice
How we handle the information you give us on this website. Last updated: September 2026
This notice covers this website — the waitlist page you are on now. Townwize has not launched yet. When the app opens to the public it will carry its own, fuller privacy policy covering rides, locations and payments, and you will be shown it before you create an account.
1. Who we are
Townwize is operated by Townwize (Private) Limited, a company incorporated in Pakistan. We are the data controller for the information described here.
2. What we collect on this page
Only what you type into the waitlist form:
- Your email address
- Your WhatsApp or mobile number, if you give one
- Your precinct or area, and whether you live in Bahria Town Karachi
- Whether you want to ride with us or drive with us
We do not ask for your CNIC, your address, your payment details or your location on this page, and we have no way to collect them here.
3. Why we collect it
To tell you when Townwize opens in your area, to send you an invitation when it does, and to understand which precincts to launch in first. That is all. We will not send you unrelated marketing.
4. Cookies and advertising
We advertise on Facebook and Instagram, and we need to know which adverts actually bring people here. To measure that we use the Meta pixel and the Meta Conversions API. These place cookies in your browser and tell Meta that a page was viewed, or that someone joined the waitlist.
Where you have given us your email address or mobile number, a securely hashed version may be sent to Meta so they can match the signup to an existing account. Hashing is one-way: Meta receives a scrambled value, not your address or number.
What is never sent to Meta
Your name, your address, your precinct, your location, or anything at all about rides. Nothing from inside the Townwize app, and nothing from anywhere you are signed in — this measurement exists only on this marketing website.
You can limit this through your browser's tracking-protection or ad-blocking settings, and through the ad preferences in your own Meta account. Blocking it will not stop you joining the waitlist.
5. Who else sees your information
- Meta — only the advertising measurement described above.
- Our email provider — so we can send your confirmation and, later, your invitation.
- Our hosting providers — who store the data on our behalf.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share your details with other companies for their own marketing.
6. How long we keep it
Until Townwize launches in your area and you have had your invitation, or until you ask us to remove you — whichever comes first. If we decide not to launch where you are, we will delete your entry.
7. Removing yourself
Email privacy@townwize.com and ask to be taken off the waitlist. We will delete your entry and confirm when it is done. You do not have to give a reason, and it will not affect your ability to sign up later.
You can also ask us what we hold about you, or ask us to correct it.
